This hospital–university complex marks a major leap in the evolution of Rabat’s Health District. Set along Abderrahim Bouabid Boulevard, it combines advanced healthcare with a strong academic presence and is designed to treat around 280,000 patients each year. Its architecture centers on a landmark tower that frees a generous forecourt, allows for future expansion, and offers classrooms with sweeping views of the racetrack, the city, and the sea—becoming a clear symbol of the hospital–university partnership. The medical program is organized into distinct specialty clusters, each signaled by its own hanging garden that brings calm and clarity to circulation. Greenery is woven throughout the project—from the entrance plaza to rooftop plantings and the tower’s suspended gardens—creating a consistent sense of comfort and well-being. A unified base ties the entire complex together, encouraging exchange between the healthcare and academic communities. With its strong identity and seamless integration into the landscape, the project sets a new benchmark for architecture dedicated to healing, learning, and innovation.
