We have all seen the render. The finished building is another story.

A project can look extraordinary on screen, yet lose much of its character when it is built. Materials change. Details are simplified. Proportions shift. Budgets tighten. Substitutions happen. Construction realities take over.

That gap is where Sequoia27 begins.

Sequoia27 is an architecture and design firm first and foremost. We design buildings and spaces with the realities of construction in mind, from the first idea through to the details that make the architecture real.

We call this Architecture Realism.

Our approach connects architectural thinking with the things that ultimately determine what gets built: material performance, availability, cost, detailing, construction methods, local conditions and the people who bring the project to life.

Our experience across China, Rwanda and international projects gives us a particular understanding of both design and the supply chain behind it. Where required, we extend our architectural service into material sourcing, helping clients identify, evaluate and source materials that support the original design intent.
